Chie Tadaki PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy
200 hour certified yoga instructor
pronouns: she/her

I grew up in a family that emphasized a natural approach to health and wellness and spent my childhood outdoors, camping, and participating in dance and sports in the Midwest. My love of hiking grew after we moved back to Japan during high school. Drawn back to the Midwest, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan and my passion for travel grew through study abroad programs. Before graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, I completed a 200-hour yoga teaching certificate program in India which also influences my mind-body approach to health and healing.

My PT career began in Portland, Oregon in 2015 and since then I have been working with and treating people with a variety of orthopedic conditions from chronic pain to post-surgery, to patients with connective tissue disorders and hypermobility. I bring an integrative and holistic approach to care using both hands on/manual and movement/exercise treatments.

Living in Oregon, I continue to grow my love of camping, hiking, backpacking, and doing activities like skiing, exploring the outdoors, as well as exploring places to eat good food!

what clients say about working with Chie

  • Chie Tadaki is one of the best PTs I’ve ever worked with. I have hypermobility in many of my joints which results in me needing some kind of rehab for an injury generally once a year. She always goes above and beyond to get me up and running again and explains things very well so I really understand how my body is working.

  • My daughters love going to PT with Chie. They finally feel understood and are getting real relief!

  • [I’ve] had the pleasure of working with Chie, and she was so delightful! I've learned so much and feel so much better in my body after just a few months. I feel more aligned and stronger than I ever have and so am grateful for my experience... Highly recommend!

  • Big thanks to Chie Tadaki…for getting me through recovery from a knee replacement. Could not be back doing normal activities without you. Excellent care with routines designed to re-establish the needed movement and strength. My doctor was quite impressed.

  • I have needed PT my entire life for challenges secondary to a genetic condition. This is the first and only therapy clinic that had been truly helpful. They are skilled at thorough/wholistic assessments, curious, willing to explore alternate theories as opposed to just assuming the most obvious explanations, and truly listen to the experience of their patients. Not only have they helped with my physical challenges, but my anxiety has also decreased knowing that I have a care team I trust when my physical conditions flare. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for therapy.
